Who am I…

You might know me from Livewire Nutrition. Perhaps we’ve crossed paths on social media, or maybe you joined in one of my recent webinars.

If so, you’ll know I’m not your typical nutritionist.

Sure I love a good green juice now and then, but I love a cheeky wine too!

I don’t believe in crash diets, counting calories or torturous exercise routines.

And I reject the idea that being healthy means missing out on fun. (Life’s too short!)

But I also know what it feels like to be trapped in a mind and body that feels like it isn’t yours.

Or to look in the mirror and wonder where the old (younger) you has gone.

Yep, I’ve been right where you are now.

Battling with my thyroid, fighting my metabolism (and losing) and living in denial about getting older and approaching menopause.

The good news is, I’m going to hit the big FIVE OH next year, I’m still here and I feel fabulous!

I’m able to bounce out of bed excited about everything the day has in store for me, as a mum, a business woman, a nutritionist and as the creator behind Well Balanced Woman.

I’m far from perfect, and I still enjoy a glass of wine with dinner. But I’ve finally found that balance I was searching for.

Everything I’ve learnt along the way, I have poured into this program so you can reap the rewards, without the guesswork!

Have you ever laughed, coughed or sneezed and done a little wee...?? OK ladies, it's time to visit a pelvic floor physio. After a few recent "whoopsies" OK.. actually it's been about 10 years of whoopsies, I finally saw a pelvic floor physio and was diagnosed with a Stage 2 prolapse. I was reassured that it was normal for my age and due to having pushed 3 large babies out of my vagina. Best news though, all is not lost and I'm now armed with some strengthening exercises (completely opposiste to the old pelvic floor exercises we were given) which will help. Provided of course that I do them! I'm also a great candidate for a pessary... more info on that coming up! Anyone else with whoopsies? I know I'm not alone here! ... See MoreSee Less

How is it that we are already in September? Crazy right!Now 2021 is not what we expected... who would have thought this shitshow still has no end in sight...Today I wanted to check in to see how you are doing. Have you been able to carve out a plan to take care of yourself?Even little baby steps?If not, what’s holding you back?At the very least, over the last 18 months, we've learned two very important things.#1. What TRULY matters in our life.#2. That the basics and fundamentals are EVERYTHING.Our health and the people we care about need to become front and centre this year.What we’re CHOOSING to focus on, and our personal daily habits and choices, the things we do consistently … all add up to determine the quality of our lives.Talk about clarity, right?This leads me to some eye-opening questions I have for you (questions that I have been asking myself the past several weeks) …How can you double-down on your basics to take care of yourself between now and the end of the year?How do you want to feel at the end of the year? Confident? Happy? Energised?What do you REALLY want … and what steps can you take to make them happen?When you lean into your basics, it’s like giving yourself instant permission to live your best life. It’s incredibly liberating!What those basics look like will be different for each of us.For me, I’m personally focusing on:Having a quiet moment to myself every single day – phone free. Sounds basic but running a business, I find I’m always “on” and I need to better manage my down time. (AKA restore myself!)Moving my body every single day in a way that feels good. Sometimes this will be a full on sweat session and other days a walk on the beach with the dog or a gentle online yoga session, all depending on my energy. (Energise myself!)Focusing on foods that nourish my body and leave me feeling light and energised. I'm feeling a little chunky and I've been hitting the cheese and wine a bit too often (yep...I'm human too!) Your basics might be different.
